CATTLE CREEK PLANS PULLED
The latest application for a large residential and commercial development proposed at the Cattle Creek intersection of Highway 82 between Glenwood Springs and Carbondale, which was to be reviewed by Garfield County commissioners on July 22, has been pulled from the commissioner’s agenda at the request of the developer, Related WestPac. Developers said, “it does not make sense for us to continue with the project at this time.”

THE ADVENTURE PASS
The Glenwood Hot Springs, Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park and Rock Gardens Rafting have teamed up to offer an all-in-one pass, which allows entrance to all the attractions for $86 for adults and $66 for children 12 and under. The pass is available seven days a week, is transferrable and can be used on more than one visit.

A MAJOR MAKEOVER FOR DIA?
Some 44% of the 50 million travelers through Denver International Airport are making connections, and never enter the Great Hall, the area under the tent part of the airport filled with shops and restaurants because of the requirement to be re-screened before returning to departure gates. DIA officials are looking at plans to make the Great Hall a secure area to avoid the re-screening problem, and add a FasTracks train station at DIA, with cost estimates as high as $1 billion.
